Objectives of the Programme
The management certificate programme is an accredited management development programme with Poultry Passport, providing Farm Managers, Hatchery Managers, Area Managers, Fieldsmen, Senior Hatchery Managers with a toolset of management and leadership skills so they can:
- Be more proactive in their management style (coaching and developing their staff to solutions rather than telling them the answers)
- Understand what “excellence in the role” looks like and have a set of skills, behaviours and techniques to become more effective in their role
- Build effective teams who know what their roles and responsibilities are
- Practice different approaches back in the workplace and have the opportunity to discuss the outcomes and their experiences
- Focus on the “soft skills” required to take their game to the next level and to be able to support their own management teams and staff

The management training programme is a series of 1-day workshops spread out over a number of months so that the managers can implement what they have covered on each module following each of the workshops. This helps to embed the learning and to make it a practical training programme focused on delivering tangible results.

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Brian and MTD to any organisation planning on developing their managers"
“At PD Hook we fully appreciate that the continuing success of our business is totally reliant on having competent and well trained managers. With this in mind we asked MTD to design a comprehensive management development programme for all of our managers.
The results have been outstanding in terms of improving our managers competence, personal development and most important of all, a considerable improvement in our efficiency and productivity.
Brian Perry’s personal, professional and inspiring approach in designing and delivering a programme to meet our specific needs has enabled our managers to begin to fulfil their potential and leaves the company in a strong position for the future.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Brian and MTD to any organisation planning on developing their managers"
Jackie Newman, HR Manager, PD Hook |
"MTD helped our staff to deliver a record breaking year at a time when the economic outlook was bleak"
“Overall the feedback from the training was extremely positive and it has had a tangible and direct impact on the confidence, ability and effectiveness of all the managerial team. They now work better in teams, communication has improved and their overall ability to focus on the real issues to drive profit has helped to deliver a record breaking year for CML in 2009.
Through
Brian, MTD helped provide
the “shot in the
arm” CML needed
to regain focus on cost
and the value of people
in a year when new sales
were unlikely and economic
outlook was bleak”
